Exactly. Let's say the baby's allergic problems increase, or she
refuses the formula which she's very likely to do at this age. It
tastes beyond awful (yes I've tried it).

The dietician is dead wrong about weaning to 'force' the baby to take
the porridge with the pregestimil. The likely end result is that the
baby will be weaned and will still not eat the porridge.

How many hear have been involved with moms who's doctors have forced the
weaning issue because of slow weight gain in a toddler.....the line of
thought being that if the toddler couldn't nurse, they'd be forced to
eat more.

It doesn't work. They still don't eat very much, then on top of it,
they're not getting the nutrition from the milk they *do* need.

A rotatioin diet is probably a fantastic idea for this mom - eating a
food every four days. There are books here that offer info on this diet
and there are resources to help plan it.....any in the Netherlands?
This would be where I'd be focusing my efforts...helping mom avoid her
daughters allergens and helping mom plan a rotation diet so that her
daughter doesn't develop more allergies.

the list POFAK at yahoogroups is high volume but very very helpful.
