Dear Everyone,

Thank you for letting this through. I hope it wasn't too off-topic. I would
like to ask that anyone with good knowledge and advice on the initiation
of breastfeeding in very small preemies join up and give us their 2
cents worth.

We are very lucky that here in Cape Town we have Dr Nils Bergman,
who has been a guest speaker of LLL International, and who has
knowledge and experience with breastfeeding very tiny preemies, who
have to be tube fed at birth, and then slowly introduced to the breast
when they are big enough to suckle.

Pat (Cape Town)

Dear All,

I have opened a Kangaroo Mother Care group on Yahoo groups.
Anyone interested in the care of preterm babies, or of meeting the
physical, emotional and nutritional needs of all babies, is welcome to
join.

Please do check out the group. A full statement of the group and it's
goals it up at the group. (I will be sending out individual invitations
to a selected group of parents and professionals in the next few days).
Please also tell your friends and colleagues about this group.

Warm wishes,
Pat
