My take on the web site that talked about pumping if you give your baby
formula is that the authors were trying to point out to mothers that once
you start using formula, your breasts make less milk.  Therefore, if you
want to keep up your supply, you'll have to remove the milk yourself.  Ergo,
it makes more sense just to nurse the baby, because it isn't worth the
hassle if you have to pump every time you use a bottle.

By the way, I'll be thrilled if Dr. Sears has reconsidered.

And I did admit privately to one of my friends that my price for selling out
to the formula companies would be ten million dollars.  Darn, why don't they
call??
