Someone asked whether epidurals are used after C/S.  I am in the NW USA and
at the hospitals I work in we very ocassionally do that.  I don't know if it
will become more common or why so few are used, but it does keep the moms
very comfortable.  I do like to work towards getting the mom fully
independent and off all the tubes and things tying her to bed though, and
getting mom's off any kind of morphine and onto pills moves them towards
independence and recovery so much faster!
