A few months ago I attended Kittie Frantz's presentations in California where she specifically mentioned chairs- she said she uses a plain old office chair that has a recline function for it's back. The fact that these also raise or lower also makes them adaptable as well. She has been using this same chair for years and everyone thinks it is "the best." There is, however, nothing special about it. It just adjusts a bit.

She went on to tell us that the chair that was in her Marriott Hotel room for this particular conference was just perfect too. The less fancy, the more "do-able" for the mother, for sure! And in a WIC office, we need practical solutions that are not too space intensive. I came back to work and appropriated the best chair of this type in our agency and it is working well, coupled with a rocking chair that often works fine too.
