Have been reading the posts- sure makes me realize how OLD i am now... my
first daughter ( 26 years ago) was a premiand she stayed in the hospital
for 30 days after delivery. During that time, if I was unable to bring in
breastmilk for her, she was fed milk from another NICU mom's supply.
My second daughter ( 21 years ago)was highly allergic to all formula. I
had started breastfeeding but being active duty enlisted army, I thought
I might have to switch to formula. Because of her allergies, my command
supported my breastfeeding and when I had to be seperated from her for a
week due to training, the local La Leche mom's group donated milk to my
sitter when she ran out of my milk.
My last daughter ( 18 years ago) received milk from my sister-in- law. I
was in the barn "buckin' hay and my daughter was hungry so my sister-in-
law fed her....I was a little surprised when I walked in but got over it (
guess seeing my baby nurse at another mothers breast bothered me more than
another mothers milk!)
Isn't sad how times have changed ( and our societies health) that we now
have to be fearful of having our baby receive someone elses milk?
 Boy am I getting old!
Lisa
