Over the centuries, a wide variety of practices has developed to optimize a 
safe and sufficient supply of breastmilk.  Prayers, rituals, sexual 
abstinence, medicines and dietary modifications have all been employed.  
There is a section on galactogogues in my book, Milk, Money and Madness: The 
Culture and Politics of Breastfeeding.  The traditions go from chocolate to 
soup made from pigs' hooves to powdered earthworms.  If you need anymore
