Hi, all

Victoria asked whether Ferber's rethinking might have something to do with
the new AAP SIDS guidelines. I saw a couple of reports on various news
stations that interviewed Ferber. On one, he actually mentioned the family
bed as a workable solution for some families. And on both reports I saw,
they showed pictures of babies sleeping in their cribs, complete with fluffy
crib padding, on their stomachs. One of them showed an infant on his stomach
with his head all the way in the corner of the crib such that he was
breathing into the crib pads.

So, it is possible the new SIDS guidelines have made him change his tune,
but somebody wasn't real careful about the images they used to illustrate
sleeping babies!!
