i have a question which may be elementary to most of you - but here goes:
i know a woman who failed to produce sufficient milk for her first child,
and nobody knew why. with her second, it started to occur again (failure
to produce sufficient quantities of breasmilk) when she was diagnosed
thryoid deficient. she was put on thyroid medication and her milk
production increased and fully nourished her baby. is this a well-known
cause for insufficient milk production? when this happened (18 years ago)
nobody, including lc's, seemed to know what to look for/test for. forgive
me if this is an obvious point of discussion.
