Wow. Does this baby have colic? Skin problems? Any signs of food
sensitivities/allergy prior to 5 wk vomiting? Sudden bloody vomiting could
happen for so many reasons and yet no breastmilk is the answer b/c all tests
were inconclusive? I'm also shocked (again...) that mom is unwilling to try
a dairy-free diet for this obviously compromised little one.

If there's a financial issue, breastfeeding is even MORE crucial for this
baby and mom. Of course, the special formula might be "free" for her, but
the likely increased doctor's visits, other health problems, etc. might not
be, especially if she will need to take off work to do this.

I would make sure mom is clear on *all* of the risks of not breastfeeding
this baby.
