A guilty admission.

A couple of weeks ago, I found myself watching "Rugrats" on Nickelodeon TV
with my preschooler. I was very pleased to see in one of their segments a
very positive portrayal of breastfeeding. The theme of the show was Mother's
Day. The twins Dil and Lil described their first gift to their mother while
nursing (smile and laughter). Yup, twins nursing on a cartoon. The episode
(like most cartoons) repeats pretty frequently.

I'm pleased when I seen breastfeeding portrayed in a positive way on
children's TV. Now if we could only get "Big Bear" from the Big Blue House
to stop going on and on about babies drinking bottles I will be a total fan
of Nickelodeon.

Does anyone keep track of children's books with breastfeeding portrayed
positively? I'm looking for some for my preschooler. He already knows that
"boobies" are for feeding baby. He gets a kick out of seeing babies fed
(even tells me I need to feed them).
