A client at a prenatal class is asking how to prepare for returning to work.
She is in an excellent situation as she will be returning when the baby is 5
months old and job sharing. However, she will be working 12 hour shift ( the
standard 2 days, 2 nights). The baby will be more than 1 hour away from her
station and she will be driving patrol. The biggest question relates to
wearing her bullet proof vest. She will get a larger size as they pull tight
across the chest and we were concerned about bruising. I remember something
like this coming up in the past but wonder how it worked out. If anyone has
first hand accounts would they please post, or email me directly. She will
be networking with other police women to see what their experience has been,
but most wean before returning to duty. Of course leaking is a concern,
especially on busy nights without a break. How have other women dealt with
this?

Thanks in advance.
