If you go to http://www.mumsnet.com, and check out the Talk boards,
there is a very sad thread there asking 'Gina Ford Mums' what they
do to stop being lonely.

Gina Ford is the Queen of Routine in the UK, and the author of 'The
Contented Little Baby Book' [aka The Contentious Little Baby Book ; )
]

But as the mothers in this thread show, the GF routines mean you
can't go out to socialise, because all the fun things you can do
with your baby and other parents (coffee groups, swimming clubs,
playgroups etc etc) interfere with nap/feed/expressing times which
are very rigid under the GF programme. You can only follow GF if you
stay at home for hours at a time.

Result? Lonely, isolated mothers.

This issue is not addressed in the book.
