Wise one's:
I am wondering if it is possible for a non-immunocompromised child to get
thrush into their lungs when the thrush is deep in the throat and not yet
under control in spite of treatment with Nystatin. The baby is 13 months
old. The baby's mother told me that the Dr's say her x-ray shows an
infection of her entire right lung, etiology unknown. I have never heard
of a case of this, and searched the archives and could not find much info
on this. Thank you for any help that you can give me. I am not sure what
the doctor's decided to do, since I have not had a chance to talk to the
mother after this. I do know that they sent the mom and baby to infectious
disease.
