I'm hoping to find some ideas for hospital RN care plans and
policies for breastfeeding. Our small hospital does its best to support

breastfeeding (out of 49 deliveries in the last 5 months, only
one baby was not breastfed). The closest lactation consultant
is an hour away by jet, and 12 hours by boat......yes we are
pretty isolated!

I'm looking for some sort of organized potential problem list
in the careplan format that I can modify for our needs- for instance
when we need to supplement our first choice is expressed
breastmilk given by SNS. Unfortunately when we get a new nurse
or doctor sometimes that person chooses to supplement with formula by
bottle. Sooooooo I need a formal care plan in writing showing what
we should all be doing. I know I could get this info from any number
of reference books but I'm hoping not to have to reinvent the wheel.

Websites would be ideal, but if anyone has great info I would be happy
to pay for mailed/faxed papers as well.

Thanks,
