I really appreciate all the information you all have sent on smoking and
breastfeeding (and no doubt Jeffrey and the fellow who originally asked the
question of us thank you too!).  The information will help the concerned
brother-in-law decide how much he should "butt" in with the smoking mother
(now I picture a woman with steam coming out of her).

This issue has always concerned me, a bottle-fed child of a chain smoker. I
always wonder how strong-lunged and bright I'd be if Mom had made different
choices! And as an LLL Leader, I always wondered what to say to friends who
smoke and breastfeed (no one at an LLL meeting has ever admitted to doing
so in my presence!).

We should all daily thank the Kathleens for LACTNET. What a learning tool!
