Moms milk came in on day three.  She was apparently very full before the
bleeding, then the bleeding episode.  Mom claims she only took the pills for
one day - until the bleeding stopped, or slowed down.  I still haven't been
able to find out if she took Methergin or Ergomine.  I'm really just
grasping at straws trying to figure it out.  The oxytocin receptor thread
was just an idea.  The midwife says NO to the retained placenta idea, and
hasn't even seen the mom, but doesn't think she is bleeding enough.  Anyway,
baby isn't gaining weight.  At 3 weeks old she was 1 !/2 lbs below birth
weight. The Pediatrician has finally started mom supplementing with formula
and mom is pretty depressed.  However a week of Fenureek, Blessed Thistle,
and pumping after feeds didn't do much.    Peg
