A mom of a seven month old has contacted me several times regarding her EBM
spoiling. This has been happening since the baby was less than a month old.
She pumps directly into a well-known milk storage bag/bottle, freezes or
refrigerates it immediately and within 36 to 48 hours it is spoiled...smells
and tastes bad and baby refuses (a good thing!). The temperature of both f
and r is correct (eg freezer is zero). She freezes in 2-4 oz. amounts and no
other "regular" food spoils, only the milk. She says the milk directly out
of her breasts is sweet and fine. Have any of you seen this? Suggestions are
really welcome.
Thanks.
