I have received an email request from a mother whose 3 month old daughter
has just been diagnosed with Williams Syndrome. The daughter has
hypercalcemia which is commonly related to this in infancy, and she needs to
have a low daily calcium intake. The mother is currently breastfeeding and
would like to continue doing so.

I don't know what she has been advised, but does anyone have further
information about the management of hypercalcemia in a breastfed infant with
this syndrome ? I would like to get back to her ASAP.
