A warm Happy Birthday to Lactnet, and many happy returns! Thanks to the
Kathleens, to Norm Aleks, and to all those who have shared their wisdom,
their humor, and their experiences, both the highs and the lows, to make
this such a special and wonderful resource for all of us.

Anyone care to share some confessions about Lactnet addiction, or how
Lactnet has impacted our lives, our practices? I know that on one
occasion, reading the mail, I completely forgot the time and that my
children were anxiously waiting to be picked up after school. And my
husband brought home a newspaper article on computer addictions titled,
"Surfing the Net can be a trap: Doctors treat Webaholics." I also have a
friend who is now going around in a neck brace after sitting for 8 hours
straight at her computer, trying to catch up on back Lactnet mail. So I
try to make sure I spend no more than one hour a day, and that it is at a
time when the rest of the family is somewhere else if possible. How do
people stay on top of several different lists? Anyway, I have learned a
lot to help me in helping mothers.
