Emma, what about silicone flanges?  Avent, Nuk, Simplisse, Ameda, and Limerick all offer either silicone flanges or inserts that fit over the plastic flanges.

Subject: Glass flanges for breastpump

I have recently come across two women in the last few months with severe plastic allergies. Both had mild reactions as children, and experienced a more extreme reaction when they returned to work and began pumping milk for their babies.  My question is, does anyone make a glass flange to use with breastpumps? Or does anyone have any ideas on how to help these moms when they return to work? I do realize Medela makes a 40mm glass flange, but that size is inappropriate for both of these women. would love to get any advise on how to help these moms gest their pumping issues sorted out.
