Thanks for all the suggestions about baby shower gifts. Books
(particularly various Sears family books) and slings were top choices.
Since slings weren't around in this country when my oldest was born,
I'm open to recommendations of which are good slings. For what it's
worth the woman in questions is probably about 5'6" and well built, not
heavy and not thin. Where to find said slings would be helpful too.

Probably private email is best for this, unless there is general
interest in this resource.
