I just read Anne Eglash's *very* interesting post on thymus size
differences in bf and formula-fed babies.  Forgive the old song but:

Let's be sure when we point this out to people that we phrase it using bf
as norm:  abm-fed babies have a thymus "only half normal size at 4 months."
Put that way, it's amazing that it hasn't made headlines!
