Tina,
This is why I have a rule against hard and fast rules!

Each baby is an individual, and each mom is an individual, and each dyad
has combinatorial issues. When we take the time to assess all the
issues and their interactions, we can come up with a better plan than if
we operate by rules such as "each twin gets own breast" or "each twin
needs to alternate breasts".

Most of us have favorite views or techniques that we try first, that's a
shortcut to clinical decision making which is fine, as long as we notice
if our pet things are not working and are informed and flexible enough
to make adjustments!
End of rant!
