On her second day back at work, just before noon, one of the women who took
care of her baby came storming into the toddler room. *I don't care what you
were told,* she said, *but you HAVE to come and feed your baby RIGHT NOW!*
Apparently, the baby was disturbing all the other little ones and could not be
calmed down.
And you can be sure that instead of realizing this should be the NORM, to
have the baby missing the mom and her milk and comfort, that that woman sees this
baby as a troubler maker, and the oddity rather than the survivor!
A baby who insists on his mom's presence is the one who will get fed and
thrive.
