I was just curious as to whether or not anyone on this list has had any
experience with writing or submitting clinical practice guidelines to AHRQ.
These seem to be the guidelines JCAHO focuses on frequently and form the
basis for lots of facilities policies and QI practices.

I wonder if baby friendly might not be the guideline that could be used - or
at least something closely related to it. I don't see anything there related
to childbirth and breastfeeding.

The interesting thing about some of these guidelines is that they have been
effective in changing practice on many levels - nursing, medicine, PT etc.
Maybe it's time for some of the breastfeeding experts to pool their
collective knowledge and add it to the list of guidelines! While the
archived versions are no longer considered valid, the newer updated versions
are.
