A bilirubin level of 13 in a thriving 7 wk old does not really concern me.
The following is from a Dr. Jack Newman handout on Breastfeeding and
Jaundice:

"Breastmilk jaundice peaks at 10-21 days, but may last for two or three
months.   Breastmilk jaundice is* normal*.   *Rarely, if ever, does
breastfeeding need to be discontinued even for a short time.* "

However, it does concern me that the post stated, "Liver function tests are
abnormal and are being repeated."  Whenever you have an elevated
total bilirubin level, which is the test usually done on babies, then one
must look at the direct and indirect fractions (conjugated and
unconjugated). If the direct fraction is elevated, this is typically liver
related and does need investigation and is not breastmilk related.
