If I had my wits about me I would have to say "I am not a social worker,
I am a lactation consultant.  The mother made the decision to bf and I
am here to help her until and after the adoption. If the adoptive mom
wants to bf I will help her as well." "The pros/cons of bf before the
adoption were probalby discussed when the mother was considering the
adoption choice. Now that the mother has made her decision, I am the
appropriate person to assist her." "BTW, the adoption has not occurred
yet and that is the mother's decision as well. It is not my place to
counsel her to keep the baby or place it for adoption."
