I often hear from mothers who are worried that their baby is constipated. I
ask them what the symptoms are, and they will say that 1) baby hasn't gone
on his/her past pattern, and  2) they seem fussier and uncomfortable.

I'm not sure if I believe the moms or not on the behavioral observations. I
have often suspected that perhaps they sometimes project their expectations
into the situation, seeing more than really is there. But, I can't say that
for sure because I don't live with their babies!
