Quick reintro. I'm Melissa Vance (formerly Kirsch),  a lawyer and LLLL. I'm currently helping with the legal portion of the LLL website, particularly the U.S. legislation page, so I'm hoping that people are still posting about that type of thing. 
BTW, saw a Joyce Brothers column today about breastfeeding in public re: 6 month old. While positive about BF, she suggested that the mother pump to feed the baby in public or not take the baby out as much.
