For those who are not familiar with the MBA, it goes like this.  Mother and
Baby can each get a point on each of five steps in a feeding:
Signaling, Positioning, Latch-on, Milk Transfer, and Ending.




I agree with you, Cathy. I have taught both nurses & parents with this tool. 
It is just great. I also like that each of the 5 steps has a baby role & a 
mother role. This helps them to see that it isn't all baby or all mom--it's a 
cooperative effort. Both mom & baby particiapate in the feeding from 
beginning to end.
