Is anyone familiar with Creutzfeldt-Jakob-Virus?
This has been mentioned before it is a prion not a virus or bacteria.
Prions are different sort of compounds that appear to be a protein chain that
can have more than one shape. In one shape the protein may even have a
beneficial function and in another it can have a completely different
function even a deadly one.
Look up prions on some search engine, I am sure there are a ton of sites out
there about this.
As I recall there even was mention of prions in the Discovery magazine
article about how breastmilk kills cancer cells. The group in Sweden seems
to believe that one of the proteins in breastmilk unravels in the presence of
the cancer cell and is thus able to disable the cancer cell. Someone with
access to that article can perhaps report on this.
