of immune components are really vital for the survival of the infant--the
newborn period and during weaning.  I find it profoundly comforting that our

Valerie, what about the time period of weaning an older child while still
nursing a baby?  Does that mean our immunities increase even though we are
still actually nursing?  Or do we only see the increase when weaning
totally?
