I apologize if this is a stupid question, but there is something here that I
don't get.   As I understand it, HIV does not live long once exposed to the
air, hence the risk of exposure from an open vial of HIV+ blood is nil.  Am
I right so far?

Assuming this is true, couldn't this mother express, let it sit for a few
minutes, then give the baby EBM?  I know it is not the same but it would
atleast be a compromise that could get her back her child.

Just a thought.
