Lactaid is an enzyme, lactase. Any enzyme taken by mouth is destroyed in the stomach, and thus will not be absorbed by the mother, and even if it were would be too big to get into the milk, and even if it did, it would be destroyed in the baby's stomach and even if it weren't what's wrong with the baby getting lactase as it is normally in the baby's small gut?
