LOL, isn't it fun what we consider historical?  I had my first baby in 1959!  I have a file topic in the CBI RL called history of infant feeding.  I'm finding 1970's articles that belong in there!  They sound like ancient history.  
The patient directions when I first started being LC in hospital -1986- say  nurse 3 min, 5 min  and so on for each day after delivery. I guess breastfeeding history is relative :-)  Pat in SNJ
