In our Lactation Center we field about 25,000 calls/yr on our "advice line".
We talk constantly about writing our own book called "New Parents ask the
Darndest Things!" Recently we had these: a new dad asking about his wife's
diet while BF, "My friend told me his wife ate some jalapeno peppers while she
was BF, and the seeds came out in the baby's stools", and then this from the
nervous new mom who when told by one of our LC's to allow her newborn to
"snack at the breast between feedings to help increase her milk supply", the
new mom asked "what kind of snack should I give him?" :>)
Sometimes comic relief is a good thing!!
Can we sell our book in Jan and Marie's book store??
Warmly,
Sandey Stayanoff RN, (one very tired) IBCLC who wants a raise.......
