The following article may be useful for reassuring mothers prescribed inhaled corticsteroids for asthma.  It was in yesterday's BMJ, at www.bmj.com  (For recent changes to public acces to the online BMJ, see the website.)  The article is:

Martels M-J, Rey E, Beauchesne M-F, et al. Use of inhaled corticorsteroids during pregnancy and risk of pregnancy-induced hypertension: nested case-control study. Br Med J 2005;330(7485):230.
