I strongly concur. I have seen some infants in the past couple of years
with 'difficult' to resolve symptoms that turned out to be rare syndromes.
Initially they just met the 'difficult to feed' or 'very fussy' parameters.
It has taught me to be very cautious about my assumptions. Breastfeeding
and dedicated parents protected the infants but also disguised the true
problem. Perhaps this is not MER but silent aspiration or ...... It sounds
like time to bring in some other health care partners just to be sure.
