The points Phyllis brings up regarding the diabetic toddler receiving same
milk as his 3 month old sibling really hit home. This is exactly what we are
dealing with our nutritionist and our 28 month old, Hagan. I am also not strong
in the biochem area and feel squelched when trying to argue the benefits with
the nutritionist. She wants to push her formula and says it is "complete
nutrition" while the donor breastmilk we receive not of the proper quality for a
toddler. We need hard scientific research to point her to. Now the service that
provides our medical equipment is questioning why we refuse to use the
nutritionists recommended formula. Any good references would be much appreciated.
Heather
