This is my very first time on Lactnet. We've only been the internet for a
few months and I'm only weeks into my lactnet subscription and I am
absolutely fascinated by all the posts and have so much fun catching up with
all the news. I live in a small mining town in South Australia and work as a
Child Health Nurse. I have contact with many new mothers and actively
encourage breastfeeding. This time last year I took "The Exam" and wish
everyone who had their heads down today the very best. I have a query that I
hope some one out there can help me with.
I saw a client recently with her second baby,( 1 week old ) successfully
breastfeeding. She told me that she had expressed some milk at home with a
pump and on one side the milk was the normal colour but the other side it
was like "strawberry milk". No history of pain or nipple abrasions. She
expressed shortly afterwards and the colour was normal from both sides.

Great to be a Lactnetter ( I'm sending for the T-Shirt )
