Heidi,
According to Hale's ('97) edition, "the author's suggest that continued
breastfeeding following sumatripan use would not pose significant risk to the
sucking infant".The book states that the absolute maternal plasms levels were
small, therefor the absolute milk concentrations were low.
I would strongly suggest that while this mom needs immediate relief from the
migraines she should investigate the cause(s) of those migraines. My guess is
hidden allergies to what she eats, what she drinks and where she lives. If she
were able to discover these then she would have control over her headaches
instead of them having control over her.
Sincerely,
Nola (North of 60)
