While making hospital rounds on the breastfeeding moms the other day, I was
asked to speak with an antepartum (33 week gestation) who had some concerns
re: breastfeeding with multiple sclerosis--specifically because of the
medications required to keep her in remission. She is off medication for the
pregnancy, but her doctors want her to start them again ASAP after birth and
also told her she could NOT breastfeed. Please forward any information you
may have on either of these meds:
Avenox (unsure of spelling, unable to locate even in 95 PDR--I don't have a
                        newer one at this time)
Betaseron (not listed in Briggs, of course 95 PDR discouraged use while
                                nursing)
Thanks in advance for any information offered.

DeDe--enjoying nice, sunny weather in So. Calif.
