I have a friend who has 2 children with autism, the older less severely
affected child was not diagnosed until the younger was diagnosed. The
younger child is quite severe and he was breastfed for over a year I
believe. This breastfeeding relationship was a comfort to the mom when the
child was diagnosed - he was diagnosed after weaning.
