I am sorry to bring this discussion up, as I know it can become heated. I
don't mean to debate any of the issues concerning credentialling. However,
I have two associates that have taken a course in which, with completion,
were given/earned a certificate titled, "Lactation Consultant." Both of
these ladies are very credible people and I did clarify that it did, in
fact, state "consultant" verses "counselor, specialist, or educator."

I completely understand the legalities, or lack of, in our profession
concerning this issue. However, I am interested in discovering this
particular agency/organization and course specifics since I have never
personally heard of it.

Apologies for my curiosity,
Penny Lane RN, IBCLC
