Greetings - I am a breastfeeding-friendly family doc in Chicago - I am
trying to get some further information on the Kaiser-Permanente of NOrth
Carolina data on health care costs saved by breastfeeding. Somehow in my
files I have this information about their "internal research" showing that
babies breastfed for a minumum of 6 months saved $1435 in healthcare costs,
based on the cost of doctor visits, antibiotics and hospitalizations.  Has
anyone replicated this? Where is the original citation? Couldn't find it in
the Archives.  I am trying to get the publication cited by Deb Tobin on "THe
Potential Health Care Cost of NOt Breastfeeding" from Best Start, but have
not gotten through to them yet. We are trying to justify our FREE employee
breastpump rental program at Ravenswood Hospital, and need these numbers and
