I would encourage cranial sacral therapy for latch problems that don't appear to be latch problems. I had similar excruciating pain while nursing my son. As he seemed to have a world class latch, Reynaud's was suspected, especially as there was some family history of the disease. After he had one cranial sacral treatment, the pain was almost completely alleviated. It's anecdotal, but it's worth a try if she is in that kind of pain.
