Hi- I have a 44 year old mom who had her first baby 4.5 days ago. Baby
weighed 7 lb 14 oz at birth. Great suck, passed mec and urine well. Milk
started to come in on the third day and stool and urine stopped. Baby
breastfeeding every 2-3 hours around the clock for 25-45 min at a time.
Baby only swallows occ., more with breast compressions (Thanks Dr. Jack).
Mom did experience breast changes, feels fuller, and we can express drops
out. She did have a EBL of 700 cc. at birth.

Today baby weighed 6 lbs, 14 oz. Yellow to hips, but alert and seemingly
well hydrated. Started mom on the SNS and fennugreek today. Skin to skin
contact, lots of milky thoughts. She will see the Ped. but not until Tues.

That's the story. Anything I am missing? Any suggestions? I'm stumped.
