I used an SNS with my first child to increase a low milk supply after one
month of improper latch and a weight loss of 15oz.  It was a love/hate
relationship.  I was given an instruction book and left to figure it out by
myself after my doctor said he only had one mother who used it successfully.
I was also concerned about weaning my son off of it but I found that, once
my supply was back up, it was easy to do.
I think that the SNS is very valuable and I have since recomended it to
friends who were having bf problems.  It takes a lot of patience but it is
temporary and bottles are more of a hassle.
