Naomi,

I was contacted once by an Associate Editor for iParenting Media
http://www.iparentingmedia.com. They wanted to publicize the Photo Contest
on Breastfeed.com site and iParentingCanada.com. They also collect
editorial content for Pregnancy magazine and Baby Years magazine. (They
write the articles and edit the written word, with no input into the
business side). Since they had formula ads, the Editor I was in contact
with concluded that they were NOT Code complaint. So I did not grant
permission to publicize the Contest. But I have often thought since then,
that perhaps that was not the right decision. (I'm not an IBCLC).

I can't answer your question about the CODE and publishing in non-compliant
magazines, but I would like to encourage you to please try to get your
articles published in regular magazines. I wonder if you could submit to
both types?

I am also SO happy to see bfing supportive articles with correct
information, in the popoular parenting magazines with wide distribution.

Would you dare to even write an article about the CODE itself, and see if
they would publish it, to educate the moms? That would be a breakthrough!
